The MSP Lab...

The primary research facility within CATSS is the Multi-Sensory Perception (MSP) Laboratory in Elliott Hall. The CATSS/MSP Lab consists of three rooms, each with a large sound-attenuating chamber for participant testing, and many specialized pieces of equipment (see below). The CATSS/MSP Lab is a shared research space and is available to groups throughout the University of Minnesota community, as well as industry groups associated with CATSS.

   - IResT: International reading speed texts

Nidek Technologies Microperimeter MP1:
Generation of sensitivity maps of the retina and retinography.
 

AUDITORY SCREENING:

Maico MA-40:
Air/bone audiometer, with standard and insert phones.
 
Otometrics AURICAL:
Hearing aid fitting system.
 

 

BALANCE ASSESSMENT:

Otometrics ICS Chartr 200 Systems:
Central/peripheral vestibular system testing and auditory evoked responses, including:
   - Videonystagmography (VNG)
   - Electronystagmography (ENG)
   - Auditory brainstem responses (ABR)
   - Cervical vestibular evoked myogenic potentials (cVEMPs)
