CATSS Researcher Mark Bee Gets National Coverage

 

The article "Lung mediated auditory contrast enhancement improves the Signal-to-noise ratio for communication in frogs," co-authored by CATSS researcher Mark Bee and published as the cover feature in Current Biology is getting national attention. Bee is professor in the Department of Ecology, Evolution and Behavior.

The research appears on the cover of the May edition of Physics Today featured in the piece titled "One frog species finds a solution to the cocktail party problem." The Atlantic quotes Mark Bee in the piece titled "How Female Frogs Tune Out Useless, Noisy Males."  Furthermore, Steve Colbert mentions the research in his Late Night Show on March 10, 2021.
